Why the additional station price
Offline operation
happens at the lane.
Additional-station pricing reflects our offline architecture. The additional register is an independently operating lane with local product data, transaction state, and checkout services. That local responsibility is central to how VayaOS is engineered.
Asynchronous synchronization connects those lanes to the store Hub. When the Hub connection fails, a working additional register can continue local product lookup and cash checkout using its own data.
Each register still needs power and healthy local services. Card and EBT authorization depend on the terminal and processor’s connectivity requirements.
